WordPress playing up?
Let’s look into it.

A broken page, an editor that will not behave or a problem after an update. Tell me what changed and what you need to get working again.

Look at the actual fault.

The page address, error message and steps that reproduce the problem are more useful than guessing which plugin is responsible. We check the relevant parts of the setup before deciding what to change.

Check the current versions and licences.

Themes, plugins, WordPress and hosting can all affect the job. I check what is installed, which updates are available to you and whether the licences needed for the work are current. Paid renewals are discussed separately.

Agree a safe place to make changes.

We establish the available backup and test options before an intrusive repair. If a staging copy, a separate test version of the site, is needed, its setup and handling of private data form part of the agreed work. Access stays limited to what the job needs.

Check the result and hand it back.

The quote names the pages or functions to test, and what follow-up is included. I explain the change and any outstanding work so you know what was fixed and what still needs attention.

What would you
like to know?

These are the questions worth sorting out before handing over access or agreeing the work.

Can you fix any plugin?

I assess the plugin, its licence, compatibility and access before accepting a repair. Some jobs need the original developer or a replacement.

Can you make changes to the content too?

Yes, if those edits are included in the agreed work. Send the page addresses and the changes you need.

Tell me about it

Send the website address or current email provider, and what needs sorting.
We agree the access and the work from there.
