When the shop
needs attention.

A checkout problem can involve more than the page itself. I look at the shop, the connected services and the steps an order goes through before agreeing the repair.

Describe where the order gets stuck.

Does the problem happen on a product, in the basket, at payment or after an order is placed? Send the public page and the exact error, with customer and payment details left out. Tell me whether it affects every order or a particular route.

Map the services involved.

Payment gateways, delivery rules, stock systems, email and extensions can all be relevant. We agree the access needed and identify which provider controls each piece. A third-party account issue may need that provider’s involvement.

Plan the checkout checks.

Where the provider supports it, checkout checks use test mode and suitable test data. Any live charge, refund or customer notification needs separate agreement. A staging shop also needs its email and payment behaviour checked before testing.

Agree what the repair covers.

Investigation, the change and the verification steps are written down. Imports, custom shop features, paid extensions and wider shop changes are quoted separately.

I will not turn a specific fault report into an open-ended rebuild.

What would you
like to know?

These are the questions worth sorting out before handing over access or agreeing the work.

Can you check payment problems?

Yes, within an agreed investigation. The shop and payment-provider settings both matter. Provider account decisions and service outages remain with that provider.

Will you need customer orders?

Only the information required for the agreed job. Do not put customer records in the initial enquiry; we agree access and handling first.

Send the website address or current email provider, and what needs sorting.
We agree the access and the work from there.
